How to save a TikTok video for offline use

Why you'd want this over just watching in the app

You're about to lose signal — a flight, a subway commute, a trip somewhere the app or the open internet isn't reliably available.
The share link is time-sensitive — TikTok's vm.tiktok.com share links and video CDN URLs aren't permanent; if you want to keep something, sooner is safer than later.
You want it without the watermark — TikTok stamps its logo and the poster's username onto every video played or saved through the app. A direct download skips that.

Save videos you have the right to keep — your own, ones shared with you for that purpose, or strictly for your own private offline viewing. Downloading someone else's video to repost as your own isn't okay, watermark or not; if you're saving someone else's content, credit them and get permission before reposting anywhere.

Three ways to save one, pick whichever fits

1. From the popup, on the video's page

Open the videoNavigate to it directly on tiktok.com (or douyin.com) — not the profile grid, the actual playback page.
Click the extension iconThe popup shows the video is detected.
Click Download No WatermarkThe clean file downloads straight to your device.

2. The on-page button

A small download button is injected right into the page's action bar, next to like and comment. If it's already open in front of you, that's often the fastest route — no popup needed.

3. Paste a share link

Got a link from someone else, or copied it from the TikTok app's Share sheet? Open the extension, paste it (short vm.tiktok.com links work) into the box, and click Go.

Other options in the same popup

Audio Only — just the sound, if that's actually what you want (a song, a voiceover).
Copy Direct Link — grabs the raw file URL if you'd rather download it yourself or hand the link to another tool.

If it doesn't work

TikTok loads a page's video data once and doesn't always refresh it if you swipe to a different video without reloading — if the extension seems to grab the wrong clip, refresh the page (F5) on the exact video you want first. If parsing fails outright, the same fix usually applies: reload and try again.
